Georgia Tech has 10 campus-wide Interdisciplinary Research Institutes (IRIs) that bring together researchers from various Georgia Tech colleges around a core research area. IRIs also connect a large portfolio of research programs, support world-class research facilities and laboratories, engage Georgia Tech students, and collaborate with government and industry research partners. Research Partnerships

  • Strategic Partnership with Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL)
    This partnership enables Georgia Tech faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and students to make use of ORNL’s world-class research facilities and to collaborate with ORNL researchers.
  • Research Team and Proposal Support
    The success of our research endeavor hinges on supporting, retaining, and mentoring faculty, at all stages of their careers, whose research growth and productivity is particularly critical to the College and Georgia Tech as a whole. Our faculty are increasingly active in leading complex proposals for external funding including center-level and training grants, for which we provide support.  
  • Georgia Tech Undergraduate Mathematics and Science Research Partnerships
    We welcome research partnerships with primarily undergraduate institutions (PUIs) in metro Atlanta, throughout the state of Georgia, and beyond.
